Full Job Description
St Luke's Hospice, Plymouth is seeking a Trustee with an HR / People and Workforce background to join our Board and People and Transformation Committee. This is a voluntary role and an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to your local community. You will work collaboratively with fellow Trustees, the Chief Executive and the Senior Management Team to help shape the strategic direction of the hospice and ensure we are able to continue delivering high-quality specialist palliative care to people with life-threatening illnesses, and support to their families and carers. What We Are Looking For We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with significant experience in human resources, people leadership, organisational development or transformation. This Trustee will provide strategic oversight, insight and constructive challenge in relation to:
- People and workforce strategy
- Organisational culture and values
- Leadership development and succession planning
- Change and transformation programmes
- Employment practice, wellbeing, inclusion and engagement, The Charities Act 2011 defines charity trustees as the people responsible under the charity's governing document for controlling and managing the administration of the charity. Trustees must be at least 16 years old and act as directors of the charity and company. Collectively, they form the Board of Trustees.
Unpaid. Reasonable expenses incurred whilst travelling to meetings will be reimbursed. Time Commitment: - Up to 6 Board meetings per year (each approximately 2 hours)
