Trustee - Chaigeley School

As a Trustee, you will play a pivotal strategic role in ensuring our school provided outstanding education while maintaining the highest standards of governance, compliance, and accountability. Trustees work collaboratively with senior leaders and key stakeholders to shape the vision, strategic direction, and long-term objectives of the school. The role includes providing oversight of financial sustainability, workforce and HR strategy, estates management, risk management, and the effective allocation of resources. As a member of the Board, you will share collective responsibility for ensuring compliance with charitable purposes, statutory and regulatory requirements, and funding agreements, while helping to secure continued success and positive outcomes for pupils, staff, and the wider community. Trustees are expected to attend committee meetings once per term, typically lasting around 2 hours each, and Board meetings four times a year. These meetings are essential for effective governance and strategic oversight, and your active participation will help ensure the school continues to deliver excellence in education. A full induction of the school will be given on appointment

  Chaigeley School is a Non-maintained Special School that caters for young people between the ages of 8 and 16 who experience Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. We provide a specialist environment where all pupils have an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).
