Trust Specialty Registrar

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust have a vacancy for a permanent Trust Specialty Registrar to join their O&G team. This post is available to start from October 2026.,

• Appropriate clinical responsibility for the care of patients delegated by the consultant totheircharge. Co-responsibility for the proper functioning of the department, including supervision of more junior medical staff.
• Running of labour ward with consultant cover on-site during the day, consultant off-site after hours.
• Clinical duties may be at Wycombe and Stoke MandevilleHospital sites,withon-callsat Stoke MandevilleHospital.
• One protected special interest session.
• Participation in clinical audit.
• Attendance at clinical meetings and case conferences asappropriate.
• Working within the multidisciplinary team.
• Co-ordinatingappropriate medical, surgical and allied disciplines concerned with patient care and communicating appropriately with general practitioners and community agencies.
• Clinic duties such as gynaecology and ante-natal clinics, as well as some specialist clinics. Some gynae clinics are off site
  
  The successful applicant will undertake a range ofactivitiesin Obstetrics and Gynaecology withone protected session in the area that they wish to develop further skills.This will be an excellent opportunity for non-training grade doctors who wish to pursue the CESR pathway. The department holds a particularly good record in helpingdoctorsprogress and complete the CESR requirements.

The successful candidate willparticipatein a two tier, full shift rota (1 in 8- 10) of 16-18Registrars/Specialty Doctors.This post also offers the opportunity to develop managerialand leadershipskills.
