Trust Doctor ST1 / 2 Eq. in Paediatrics

Providing assessment, diagnosis and initial management of children and young people presenting with acute and ongoing healthcare needs. Supporting consultant-led ward rounds and contributing to the ongoing care of patients on the children's ward Caring for newborn infants, including babies requiring treatment and monitoring within the Special Care Baby Unit Working closely with Tier 2 and Tier 3 paediatric doctors, nursing staff and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. Participating in a 1:7 full-shift rota, including day shifts, twilight shifts, long days, night shifts, weekends and on-call commitments. Contributing to the assessment and management of children requiring acute paediatric review and treatment.

Experience across inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and neonatal settings. Ideal for doctors seeking further paediatric experience or preparation for specialist training. This role would particularly suit a doctor looking to develop strong clinical skills in acute paediatrics, newborn care, and emergency paediatric assessment within a supportive district general hospital environment.
