Trust Doctor in Respiratory (ST3+ or equivalent)

This is a full-time post for a Respiratory Registrar and is designed to keep up with the increasing demands on our local service, but also an exciting opportunity to enhance and further strengthen Respiratory services at CHFT.

There is a comprehensive induction course and regular weekly teaching with the intention that the service commitment, supervision level and educational opportunities will be equivalent to that of our existing ST3+ trainees and is equivalent to a training post in every way.

There will be an Educational Supervisor allocated to ensure support for professional development and a weekly protected half-day teaching session covering clinical and managerial topics.

We encourage research and audit projects and in addition, the Trust runs ALS and APLS courses.

This is a Full-Time post providing with basic hours of 40 hours per week, but applicants wishing to work part-time are also encouraged to apply and rotas will be adjusted accordingly, and by negotiation with appointees., The post is predominantly based on the Respiratory wards at Calderdale Royal Hospital. Along with ward rounds and supervision of the junior medical staff the post includes commitment to two general Respiratory clinics per week.

We employ more than 6,500 staffwho deliver compassionate care from our two main hospitals,Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary as well as in community sites, healthcentres and in patients' homes. We also are incredibly proud to have almost 150 volunteers here at CHFT.

We provide a range of services including urgent and emergency care; medical; surgical; maternity; gynaecology; critical care; children's and young people's services; end of life care and outpatient and diagnostic imaging services.

We provide community health services, including sexual health services in Calderdale from Calderdale Royal and local health centres. These include Todmorden Health Centre and Broad Street Plaza.
