Trust Doctor in Obs and Gynae (ST1 / 2 Eq)

The role involves providing medical input to the units, ensuring the efficient and effective assessment and initial management of all cases. The post holder will also support the Consultants responsible for these areas. The post holder will have day to day responsibility for patients under Consultant care. A Consultant led ward round will take place every day when the team is on call. The post also includes involvement in the teaching of medical students, from the Acadmey, when they are in session/ placement within the department This will primarily involve supporting their learning on the wards, where they will shadow routine clinical activity, as well as participating in patient discussions in the outpatient clinic setting. Excellent library facilities are available to support this educational component.
