Trust Doctor (eqv to ST5+) in Imaging & Specialised Cardiology

These posts provide exposure to a wide variety of cardiovascular conditions and are suitable for those with a good grounding in general cardiology who wish to gain experience in advanced imaging/specialised cardiology. The Barts imaging/specialised clinical fellow post has a track record of successfully transitioning many fellows into cardiology consultant posts across the UK and internationally.

In return, we will develop your skills, knowledgeand experience with educational opportunities including weekly cardiology teaching, departmental meetings, MDT meetings

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Trust Doctor (ST5+) to join our team based across both St Bartholomew's Hospital and University College London Hospital.

Barts Heart Centre is Europe's largest cardiac centre. It houses one of the world's largest cardiac MRI services along with all other advanced imaging modalities utilizing 3 cardiac MRI scanners, a dedicated cardiac CT scanner and 10 echocardiography labs. Specialised cardiology services include the internationally-recognised cardio-oncology and heart muscle disease services, the regional infective endocarditis service and the adult congenital heart disease service. The advanced heart failure service includes a VAD programme, ECMO service on the specialised heart-failure ITU and CRT device clinics. It is also the heart attack centre for the region and also provides invasive and structural cardiology services and emergency arrythmia services as well as ablation therapies in 10 cardiac cath labs, Barts Health is one of the largest NHS trusts in the country, and one of Britain's leading healthcare providers.
