Trust Doctor (eqv to ST1 / 2) In General Surgery

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at the Royal London Hospital Department of General Surgery. The appointee will be attached to Colorectal, Vascular or Hepatobiliary surgical subspecialty firms and will participate in the on-call rota for General surgery and major trauma. The post is due to start as soon as possible.

The RoyalLondon provides complex tertiary and regional services in major surgical specialties including upper and lower gastrointestinal surgery, hepato-pancreatico-biliary surgery, vascular and trauma surgery. The Trauma Service cares for multiply injured patients, involving participation in the traumateamresponse, serving the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service.

The Royal London Hospital is the Major Trauma Centre for theNorth EastLondon and Essex Trauma Network, serving a population of 2.5 million people with over 3000 Trauma calls per year. It is one of the leading TraumaCentresin the UK and has an International Reputation for teaching and research.
