Full Job Description

The post holder will assist in the provision of elective breast surgery, outpatient clinics, inpatient cover and the preparation of the multidisciplinary meeting. The appointee will have the opportunity to learn new or develop previous surgical skills depending on the experience and future career aspirations.

The number of clinical commitments will dependpresentation of data and has the opportunity to engage in active discussion regarding interesting or complex cases that arise through this process and reflect on this. The post-holder will also be expected to part-take at least one audit or quality improvement project in breast surgery and there is excellent support for this through the audit unit

Our new breast cancer centre at St Bartholomew's Hospital will offer specialist care for thousands of women each year from 2026.

With support from Barts Charity, the centre will bring together surgery, reconstruction, diagnostics and outpatient care under one roof -- making it easier to access the right care, at the right time.

Designed to reduce delays and improve outcomes, it will offer faster diagnosis, safer surgery and fairer access to leading treatments and clinical trials.
