About the Role


This post represents an ideal opportunity for a self-motivated, experienced Senior Trial Manager / Trial Management Lead to work in a leading UKCRC registered Clinical Trials Unit.


The aim of the Pragmatic Clinical Trials Unit (PCTU) is to support and encourage high quality pragmatic trials in which the primary question of interest relates to intervention effectiveness: whether an intervention works under real-life conditions.


The post holder will be expected to take on lead responsibilities for a portfolio of studies.



About You


Previous research experience in multi-site clinical trials involving NHS patients or research participants is essential.

The Wolfson Institute of Population Health (WIPH) is an exciting and dynamic environment, home to more than 450 staff, 100 PhD students and c500 postgraduate taught students. It harnesses expertise across a wide range of population-based research and education activities and aims to be an internationally recognised centre of excellence in population health, primary care and preventive medicine. The Institute is organised into six separate research centres which, though complementary and following the Institute strategic plan, also have Centre-specific objectives and requirements


The post-holder will work in the Centre for Evaluation and Methods (CEM), a thriving centre that incorporates collaborative units who work to deliver outstanding research based on their combined and complementary strengths. The post-holder will contribute in particular to the Pragmatic Clinical Trials Unit (PCTU).
