Trees and Landscaping Officer

We are seeking a Trees and Landscaping Officer to join our team in Northamptonshire. This locum role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in arboriculture while contributing to the preservation and enhancement of the county's natural environment. You will work within the Place & Economy / Growth & Regeneration / Planning Policy and Placemaking Directorate, playing a key role in shaping the community's green future.

Conduct detailed tree inspections and site visits, compiling reports on tree health and condition.
Manage and create new Tree Preservation Orders, reviewing and amending existing orders as required.
Evaluate applications and notifications for works affecting preserved trees and those in Conservation Areas.
Address complaints relating to High Hedges under the Anti-Social Behaviour Act.
Represent the Council at appeal hearings on tree-related matters, preparing reports and statements.
Investigate unauthorised works and recommend enforcement actions.
Assist in developing policies and strategies promoting placemaking and environmental sustainability.
