Tree Manager

As Tree Manager, you will:

• Provide professional arboricultural advice and written reports on planning applications.
• Manage arboricultural contracts, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Develop and implement long-term tree, woodland and habitat management strategies.
• Oversee budgets, records and data management relating to the Council's tree assets.
• Manage a small team of arboriculture staff and coordinate contractors.
• Work closely with colleagues, elected members, developers, statutory undertakers, community groups and residents on tree-related matters.
  
  Exeter City Council is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Tree Manager to lead the management of our diverse tree stock across the city. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in protecting, enhancing and growing Exeter's urban forest while supporting the council's environmental and biodiversity ambitions.
Leading the Tree team, you will provide expert arboricultural advice, manage tree-related contracts and inspections, support planning consultations, and help develop long-term strategies for sustainable tree and woodland management
