Our very friendly and professional team have a strong multi-disciplinary working ethos and enjoy supporting each other. Working closely with GP colleagues, the post-holder will deliver a number of Treatment Room clinics providing: assessment; treatment; screening; health education services and advice to patients including:
- Wound management
- Administering a vaccinations and immunisations.
- Chronic disease management, including diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension and CHD.
- Contraception, STI checks and advice and cervical screening. As part of the clinical team, you will participate in: clinical supervision; ongoing CPD; team and practice meetings as well as contributing to projects and audits. In addition to the treatment room clinics, the post-holder will ideally support our chronic disease management with a focus on COPD and Asthma. While we are are looking for a Registered Nurse with training and experience in treatment room procedures and chronic disease (COPD and asthma) training, training and support to undertake additional required qualifications will be provided.About us We are friendly, patient focussed and progressive General Practice. We are seeking a Part Time Treatment Room Nurse to join the team and help provide care for nearly 40,000 patients. We have a supportive clinical team consisting of: doctors; chronic disease nurses; treatment room nurses; pharmacists; nurse practitioners / paramedics, and a physio and mental health nurse that deliver care from 3 purpose built sites. We strive to provide excellent care to our patients and are supported by a well-established and highly professional teams. We are high QoF achievers; continually striving to improve our service. We are a training practice for GPs, Nurses and HCAs and work hard to ensure that our nurses can take full advantage of training and development pathways. This is demonstrated by our: training student nurses; delivering HCA apprenticeships; supporting nurses on the TNA pathway; supporting ongoing CD / prescribing training etc., We are looking for a Registered Nurse to: provide excellent patient care; assessing patient needs and planning, delivering and evaluating care provision. They will provide a professional service performing a range of relevant treatment room activities without direct supervision and providing support to the GPs. Treatment room experience and asthma diploma would be preferred. General Clinical

Ideally, we are looking for a Registered Nurse with experience in delivering Treatment Room procedures. However, full training can also be given for the right candidate., RGN Level 1 nurse already practicing at a band 5/6 (or equivalent) level. Evidence of continuing professional development Chronic disease management. Asthma preferred, Good keyboard skills and experience of using Microsoft office e.g. Word, Excel Diploma in Chronic Disease management Experience of using EMIS computer software, To be able to work well in a team and autonomously. Bradley Stoke Surgery and Stoke Gifford Medical Centre are in the process of merging partnerships (with an expected merge date in April 25). The combined 40,000 patient population will be supported by a team of 130 clinical and administrative staff and delivered from 3 purpose built medical premises. The new Partnership will act as a single Primary Care Network with a single list and teams that will work together to provide excellent patient care. The merged practice will be Stokes Medical Group. Stokes Medical Group look forward to welcoming a Practice Nurse to our clinical team. The role is expected to be based at the Bradley Stoke site but may need to work across the 3 surgeries. We are keen to find the right person for this role and training in treatment room competencies can be given. We are also keen to support ongoing CPD to complement the range of development pathways available to practice nurses.
