Full Job Description

The Hardman Trust is seeking a strategic, financially experienced and mission-aligned ICAEW Chartered Accountant to join our Board of Trustees as Treasurer.

We support people on long sentences to take their next steps in life, providing tailored practical and financial support to help people find belonging, move into work or training, and reach their personal goals.

The Treasurer is the Board's lead for financial governance. They will help ensure strong financial health, compliance, effective resource allocation and robust oversight of risk, controls, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and reserves.

Working closely with the Chair, CEO, Senior Leadership Team and wider Board, the Treasurer will provide clear financial insight to support Board decisions and will chair the Finance and Resources Sub-committee.

We are looking for someone with sound independent judgement, strategic vision, strong communication skills and a collegiate approach. Prior trustee experience is essential; previous charity Treasurer experience is desirable.

This is a voluntary role requiring approximately two days per month, with quarterly Board meetings and quarterly Finance and Resources Sub-committee meetings.
