Full Job Description
In particular, we are looking to recruit a member of staff with experience and skills in supporting vulnerable learners, particularly those from Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities and/or learners who are Electively Home Educated. We are looking for experienced and skilled mainstream practitioners with the ability to be skilled, organised and flexible in a high-pressured environment. Key Requirements
- An experienced Teaching Assistant, educated to the equivalent of NVQ level 3, you will also have
- Proven recent success supporting children in a mainstream setting;
- A knowledge and understanding of the barriers to learning faced by vulnerable pupils and how to facilitate independent learning and achievement;
- The ability to be part of the 'team around the child', working flexibly, to develop and share creative and innovative approaches to reach hard to engage learners and to positively influence the practice of others.
- Up-to-date understanding of current educational and multi-cultural issues affecting schools, pupils, their families and communities., The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. The Fluency Duty for this role is Required. You must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
