Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to Join the Travel and Transport Team at Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) as a Travel and Transport Administrator. This is an important role to support the travel functions for all of our patients, staff and other users to our sites. This a part time post working for 30 hours per week primarily based at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, but it may require the post holder to work across the wider OUH site, covering Oxford and Banbury., To manage and ensure the provision of an effective, efficient and professional interface between the Travel and Transport Department and members of staff, tenants, volunteers, the public, and all other users of the Trust's Travel and Transport service. To maintain and manage the staff parking permit database and associated schemes for Travel and Transport at OUH, and to promote awareness of sustainable travel options through internal communication channels and with support from the Estates and Facilities Communications Lead., The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

  • Grades Achieved / Years of service, Conflict management training, Significant experience in an administrative role, Previous NHS experience, Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to be well organised.
  • Desirable criteria
  • To be able to accurately record and disseminate key information, Excellent interpersonal skills especially in sensitive and controversial situations and in dealing with difficult or abusive personnel and an ability to defuse potential conflict situations, Full working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of packages, A working knowledge of the Law and procedures relating to the enforcement of Parking Charge Notices
