Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to recruit a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join our Orthopaedic team. The post is based at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital however the successful candidate may be asked to work Trustwide. The main clinical commitment will be to support the Orthopaedic Trauma and Elective service.
Applicants should have MBBS qualification and relevant experience.
They will work alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team including nursing, physio and ortho-geriatric colleagues with educational and clinical supervision provided by an Orthopaedic Consultant Surgeon.
The post will initially be available as a 6 month fixed term contract and will provide an ideal opportunity for further experience, training and enhance portfolio. This post includes shift work and participation in the Registrar rota at NSECH. Training opportunities in Orthopaedics will be provided as well as support for professional development.
If the successful appointee has over four years post qualification experience, they will be appointed on Specialty Doctor 2021 Terms and Conditions., The postholder will be expected to work within the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department under the supervision of a Consultant. This will include elective outpatient clinics and theatre lists as well as participation in the registrar trauma rota (shift working including night time and weekend working)., We recognise the positive value of diversity and inclusion and are committed to a workforce that is diverse, equal and inclusive.
