An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic individual to join Whipps Cross Hospital, part of Barts Health NHS Trust, as aTrauma Nurse Coordinator (Band 7 AFC)on a permanent basis.

This role is ideally suited to candidates who are currently working as aTrauma Coordinatoror in a similar specialist trauma role within the NHS and are looking to further develop their leadership, service improvement and clinical expertise.

As part of the Trust's commitment to delivering the ambitions of the NHS Long Term Plan, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the ongoing transformation of trauma services. You will have significant involvement in service development, pathway redesign, and the implementation of trauma network initiatives, including the enhancement of silver trauma pathways. The post holder will also contribute to the operational management, audit, quality improvement and governance of the trauma service.

Working closely with theSite Trauma Director,Associate Director of Nursing, and senior nursing and medical colleagues across Emergency and Surgical specialties, you will provide expert clinical leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality trauma care. You will support the achievement of national, regional and network standards and ensure that strategic objectives are translated into effective clinical practice.

This role is ideal for an existing Trauma Coordinator or specialist trauma professional looking to further develop their leadership, clinical expertise, and service improvement experience.

The post holder will play a key role in the ongoing development of trauma services, supporting pathway redesign, service transformation, quality improvement, audit, and governance activities. Working closely with senior nursing and medical leaders, including the Site Trauma Director and Associate Director of Nursing, you will provide expert clinical leadership to ensure high-quality trauma care and compliance with national and network standards.
