Transport Services Driver

Your roles will involve driving a minibus bus across the local district, providing vital links for residents in rural areas to essential services. You will also transport vulnerable adults and children as part of the Transport Services team., This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies. West Berkshire Council are looking for an enthusiastic Driver with good communication skills, good timekeeping and a friendly positive attitude., There may also be the opportunity to work towards obtaining a full bus licence Category D for the appropriate candidate. The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications, skills and attributes

• Full, driving licence including category D1 to drive minibuses and larger vehicles
• Previous experience of driving a vehicle with 16 passenger seats, or of an equivalent size.
• Ability to use Outlook, and a web browser to access information
• Respect the need for confidentiality
• Awareness of client needs
