The package includes an attractive salary, OTE potential of up to £35k within your first year, plus an unrivalled commission structure which is reviewed annually thereafter.

You will work with a broad range of transport clients, taking responsibility for servicing existing accounts, developing new business and supplying high-quality candidates across the driving and transport sector. Customer service will be a key part of the role, ensuring consistently high standards for both our clients and workers.

As a Transport Recruitment Consultant, you will:

• Build and develop strong relationships with new and existing transport clients.
• Talk to and influence decision makers at all levels.
• Develop new business opportunities through telesales, networking and face-to-face meetings.
• Sell recruitment solutions and service packages to transport and logistics businesses.
• Source, interview and independently select suitable candidates for transport vacancies.
• Manage a high-volume pool of drivers and transport professionals.
• Handle inbound queries from prospective and existing workers.
• Manage key transport accounts and provide a consistently high level of customer service.
• Coordinate candidate onboarding, compliance and availability.
• Work closely with clients to understand their staffing requirements and provide effective recruitment solutions
• Support tender processes and client presentations where required.
• Manage rotational out-of-hours/on-call responsibilities.
• Positively promote the Pertemps brand within the local transport and business community.

The successful Transport Recruitment Consultant will become part of a focused and well-established team of recruiters who are hungry for success and committed to increasing Pertemps' market share across the Birmingham transport sector.

The ideal Transport Recruitment Consultant will have:

• Previous experience within transport recruitment, recruitment or a sales environment.
• A strong understanding of the transport sector is desirable.
• Confidence speaking to clients and candidates over the telephone.
• A commercially driven and target-focused approach.
• Experience developing new business and building long-term client relationships.
• A tenacious attitude towards sales and business development.
• Ideally, experience upselling services and working confidently 'off-script'.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to identify opportunities and convert them into new business.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple workloads.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• A good judge of character with strong candidate assessment skills.
• IT literate, with basic knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Comfortable building rapport and creating new client accounts both over the phone and face-to-face.
