Job Description
We are currently seeking a Transport Planner to join our Transport Team for our Consumer Beverage sector at our Wentworth Park site. As a Transport Planner, you will be contributing to the success of the transport team. You will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day-to-day challenges in providing an effective transport plan.
Working hours: 4 on 4 off nights, 18:00-6:00
Key Duties of a Transport Planner
- Work with Transport and Warehouse teams to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
- Assemble 400+ consolidated orders into loads every 24 hours.
- Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.
- Plan daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and outbases.
- Report problems, deal with issues, and manage queries that may arise.
- Plan approximately 100 collections per day on a time-critical basis.
- Maintain and exceed agreed KPIs.
- Proactively seek continuous improvements.
- Make decisions under pressure and within tight timescales.
- Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working to meet business requirements, especially during peak periods.
- Efficiently utilize the Culina Group network in support when volumes dictate.
