In this pivotal role, you'll lead daily transport activities, ensure compliance and operational excellence, and inspire a high-performing team to deliver outstanding results.This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive leader who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, thrives on solving challenges, and is passionate about driving continuous improvement and exceptional service standards.WHAT YOU'LL DOTo supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellenceEnsure drivers are legal and compliant on a daily and weekly basis and ensure clear communication

between all functions within the transport department and the warehouse teamTo lead the work activities of the drivers and the transport clerical team, providing effective leadership, communication, motivation, training and developmentCarrying out HR Management tasks such as staff reviews, appraisals, absence management and disciplinariesWHAT YOU'LL BRINGProven people management experience within a supply chain environment, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop teamsPrevious experience working within a transport office or wider supply chain operationStrong understanding of working within a unionised environment and building positive working relationshipsCompetent in Microsoft Office applications; experience using Tachomaster is desirableAdaptable and resilient, with the ability to embrace change and support the implementation of new processes and ways of workingWHY JOIN US?Discretionary bonus based on performanceJoin our generous pension scheme and benefit from an 8% employer
