Full Job Description
The Transport, Fleet and Driving Standards Service Manager post is essential to ensuring the effective running and maintenance of our fleet at Barnsley Council. The Council's fleet is over 400 strong including waste, highways, and home to school service vehicles. This is a fast paced environment and we are looking for an experience manager to join our team. You will be responsible for the strategic planning and operational delivery through the management of the Council's Operators Licence which encompasses all aspects of fleet along with overall driving standards and related training. As a CPC accredited Transport Manager lead, you will ensure that the council's fleet processes, procedures, vehicles and drivers are safe and compliant at all times. You will be experienced in management and hold a Level 6 Management qualification or equivalent. You will be highly experienced in a role of this type and expected to thrive in a fast paced, yet professional environment.
