Full Job Description

Transport ambulance service vehicles throughout the London area as requested by the Production Hub Deliver and collect vehicles from workshops and main dealers Assist in the transport of crews as and when required To undertake any other reasonable request, and duties appropriate to the role About us Our strategy 2023-2028 outlines how we plan to achieve this, and is centred upon three missions focused on:

  • Our London- using our unique pan-London position to contribute to improving the health of the capital., Transport Ambulance Service vehicles throughout the London area, to and from ambulance stations, outside contractors and Fleet workshops.
  • To undertake any other reasonable request, and duties appropriate to the role. To ensure all relevant documentation is completed accurately relating to vehicle operations as required. To ensure that all vehicles are maintain and operated in accordance with policies and procedures. Complete a visual check of vehicle before driving and report any defects Ensure the proper and effective use and cleanliness of all cleaning equipment and materials. To alert Fleet management of any issues or concerns that may affect service provision and safe operation of vehicles. To be aware of all Health & Safety requirements. Attends training courses and completes any training requirements as requested. To be responsible for all equipment and vehicles which the post holder is required to use and also keep records as necessary.     Qualifications, Accreditations, Education Essential
  • Current UK Driving Licence full manual driving licence (no more than 3 penalty points)
  • C1 category on driving license valid within the UK c
  • Good Standard of Education - minimum of 3 GCSES (or equivalent) at grade C to include English and Maths
  • Experience Essential
  • Experience of working within a public service or customer care environment
  • Ability to build up good relationships with internal/ external stakeholders
  • Customer focused with proven customer care skill and positive and professional manner and attitude at all times
  • Ability to self-manage, Excellent communication and organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • A team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent command of Information Technology and proficient in the use of MS Office

    To take responsibility for the efficient and reliable transportation of Trust vehicles/ equipment/ people and support Vehicle Resource Centre in the mission to deliver excellent clinical care for patients by having the right equipment and products available at the right place, at the right time.
