This is a high-profile opportunity to shape workforce transformation across Birmingham, Black Country and Solihull ICB at a pivotal time.

We are looking for a senior leader to drive delivery of the funded Cluster Business Case, working across health and care to develop sustainable workforce solutions that support integration, improve services and deliver better outcomes.

This fixed-term/secondment post could also offer a strong development opportunity for an experienced leader ready to step into a broader system role or taking their next steps.

This post is being offered on a fixed term/secondment basis until 31 March 2027., In this role, you will provide strategic leadership to the Cluster Workforce Programme Board, drive delivery of shared workforce priorities, and build strong partnerships across providers, education and system leadership. You will identify workforce risks, lead system-wide solutions, and support the transition to provider-led workforce models that deliver impact, sustainability and value for money.

We are looking for someone who hassignificant senior leadership experience in the NHS, a strong track record of delivering complex programmes and service improvement, and a deep understanding of NHS and social care priorities, workforce development and commissioning. You will bring strong judgement, analytical thinking and influencing skills, alongside the credibility to build trusted partnerships across organisational boundaries. Most importantly, you will be an inclusive, values-driven leader who can lead both directly and through matrix working.
