Full Job Description

  • The Training Programme Director in ST5 will support the Head of School in the Strategic Development of the School of Radiology.
  • The post holder will lead on the development of the School's Recruitment and Retention Strategy and contribute to supporting the School Operational Programme.
  • The post holder will be a member of the School Board.
    • As a result of NHS England's (NHSE) integration into the Department of Health, all educator recruitment activity either extensions to existing contracts or new appointments, will have an end date of 31 March 2027. We are currently reviewing the recruitment process beyond this date and will provide updates as soon as the new procedures Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person., Training programme directors are key to the running of postgraduate medical and dental training. They are responsible for managing training in a single specialty. They manage the recruitment of trainees by identifying vacancies on the programme, manage assessment processes, organise trainee rotations, develop a network of educational supervisors and support doctors or dentists with individual training needs
