ROLE DESCRIPTION


Do you want to make a difference? Newcastle College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Training Officer to join our Central Support Service team. In this dynamic role, you will develop and deliver training and awareness programs focusing on Mental Health, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Inclusion. Your work will be instrumental in enhancing inclusion and improving the overall student experience. As a Training Officer, you will design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training sessions on Mental Health, SEND, and Inclusion for students, colleagues and external stakeholders to help raise awareness to foster an inclusive college environment. You will create and implement awareness-raising initiatives and stay updated with the latest developments in Mental Health, SEND, and Inclusion to ensure training content is current and impactful. As the successful candidate, you will be an enthusiastic and adaptable person, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to inclusive education.


You will have Level 2 English & Maths or equivalent and hold a teaching or training qualification. You will be able to work flexibly, including evening work, and supporting at our off-site provision.
