Look no further! We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Training & Engagement Specialist to join our team here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering and promoting training and employment opportunities across the Borough. You will work with residents, businesses and partners to design and deliver impactful programmes that support people into employment, upskilling and further education, while helping to address local skills gaps and economic priorities., As a Training & Engagement Specialist, you will:

  • Promote training and employment opportunities to residents and support them to access appropriate services and pathways into work
  • Design and deliver innovative and engaging training programmes that build confidence and raise aspirations
  • Develop targeted interventions to re-engage disengaged or economically inactive individuals into education, training or employment
  • Work closely with local businesses to identify workforce needs and develop tailored training solutions
  • Organise, coordinate and evaluate training provision, including pre-employment programmes and sector-based academies
  • Build strong partnerships with businesses, community organisations and stakeholders to enhance opportunities for residents.
  • Please note this is a fixed term opportunity for 12 months, reflecting the current funding period for this programme., As this is a fixed-term post, secondment opportunities will be considered for internal employees.
