We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to design and deliver high-quality adult safeguarding training across East Sussex. This role is central to strengthening safeguarding practice and ensuring that staff are confident, skilled, and legally literate.
Having first hand operational working experience of adult safeguarding which includes self-neglect, modern slavery and domestic abuse will be essential, as will your ability to use this safeguarding knowledge to inform your delivery as a trainer. As a qualified and registered Social Worker, Nurse, or Occupational Therapist, you will lead on a multi-agency approach on adult safeguarding which includes the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005. You will work alongside other trainers, partners, and managers to implement a training programme that meets the needs of staff across East Sussex.
You will receive a thorough induction, and individualised support through a range of training and development opportunities. You will have the opportunity to build on your own skills, and to continue to learn and develop, enabling you to succeed in this role and to reach your career goals and aspirations.
We are looking for candidates who:
Has communication skills with the ability to present to a range of audiences virtually and face to face
Is able to facilitate learning and manage group dynamics
Understands adult learning styles and the training cycle and how to apply to practice through design and delivery of training
Is a team worker, with ability to operate as part of a team as well as self-motivated and work on own initiative
Can use an organised, flexible and adaptive approach to managing workloads, There will be a two-stage interview. You will be asked to prepare and deliver a PowerPoint presentation, and a panel of three members will ask you a series of questions, enabling you to demonstrate your knowledge, skills and experience and passion for developing the skills and competencies of the workforce.
