Full Job Description
As Shift Manager you will accomplish all shift work requirements by orienting, assisting, and coaching employees. You will ensure all standards are met by following production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards. As a shift manager you will be monitoring operations, reallocating resources and solving operational problems. You will be working within a £multi-million restaurant and managing a team of 100 or more employees. You will be part of the management team that will drive your restaurant forward by building sales, growing profitability, and delivering an outstanding customer experience. Many of McDonald's restaurants are owned, run and operated under license by a network of Franchisee's, and the recruitment of this role will be Franchisee based. What background should I have? This fast-paced programme is open to people who have experience of managing and leading teams within the retail, hospitality business or a customer focused environment, and graduates. Additionally, this role is restaurant based and involves working changeable shift patterns including working weekends and bank holidays. You start your role as a Trainee Shift Leader, being promoted to Shift Leader upon successful completion of training. There are also further opportunities to become an even bigger part of the core restaurant management support system, your journey could take you to First Assistant Manager, Business Manager and beyond! You are someone who inspires and motivates others with your ambition and hands on approach to learning. What support and training will I receive? Throughout your journey, we will give you the training, knowledge, and tools to further develop your skills to make you feel truly confident. You will be learning a lot, and you'll be required to apply what you have learnt to lead by example and be effective in leading our teams, all whilst receiving regular check-ins along the way. This accelerated training programme is the first step on the journey to leading and inspiring teams, within one of our restaurants in the Leeds / Bradford / Shipley area. Over the course of nine months, you'll learn how our values shape our business from the ground up. The hands-on experience you will gain from working in our kitchens, service areas, customer areas and our drive-thru will give you the confidence to make your impact across each of our day parts. In addition, our values will guide how you lead our people on the shop floor and shape the experiences you provide for our customers. We want our customers and our people to feel valued and always appreciated, and you will help us achieve that as you gain momentum, and take responsibility, of shifts and our key systems and processes.
