Full Job Description
As a Trainee Rural Operative, you will have the opportunity to learn and master various aspects of estate management, including:
- Learn rural estate maintenance - practical skills in maintaining and enhancing rural landscapes
- Carry out stone track repairs - learn techniques for repairing and maintaining stone tracks
- Operate fleet and plant machinery - tractors, diggers, strimmers, chainsaws and small plant (full training provided)
- Support fence repairs - maintain and repair fencing across the estate
- Assist with forestry tasks - tree planting, felling, vegetation management and small-scale forestry
- Contribute to conservation work - habitat restoration, pond works, rabbit habitats and Scheduled Ancient Monument maintenance
