Are you looking to build a long-term career in risk within a leading international bank? We are looking for a Trainee - Risk Management to join our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team in London. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a second-line risk function, working closely with senior stakeholders and developing a strong understanding of risk management in a regulated banking environment. About the team You will join the Risk Division (RISQ), which operates as part of the bank's second line of defence. The team independently analyses, challenges and monitors risk-taking activities, supporting the business to operate within its risk appetite and regulatory expectations while enabling strategic objectives. What you'll be doing Working alongside experienced risk professionals, you will support a wide range of core risk management processes, including:

  • Monitoring regulatory developments and supporting impact and action analysis
  • Preparing regulatory and risk newsletters
  • Supporting the coordination and drafting of: Risk Identification and Inventories; Risk Management Frameworks; Risk Appetite Frameworks and Statements
  • Reviewing risk appetite management information
  • Assisting with elements of the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP)
  • Preparing materials for senior management committees and governance forums
  • Producing ad-hoc analysis, benchmarking and reporting
  • Performing periodic risk and control activities
