Trainee/Junior Ruminant Sales Representative - Field-based - covering the South East (ideally based in Buckinghamshire or Oxfordshire) - Competitive Salary + Bonus + Car + Benefits The Job: An excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to begin their career in agricultural sales. This junior sales role focuses on supporting and developing customer relationships within the Beef and Dairy farming sectors, promoting a range of high-quality ruminant nutrition products. You'll work alongside experienced sales managers and technical teams, learning the trade, gaining valuable product knowledge, and developing the skills to manage your own territory in future.
- Support the promotion and sale of ruminant feed products to beef and dairy farmers
- Build relationships with new and existing customers, offering feeding advice and practical on-farm support
- Identify prospective customers and support new business development within your patch
- Provide a reliable, professional point of contact for farmers, building trust and rapport
- Attend farm visits, agricultural events, and shows to raise product awareness
- Complete product training and ongoing development sessions
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity and customer interactions using the CRM system
Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science or a related subject or previous experience working within the agricultural sector - Keen interest in livestock farming - particularly in beef and dairy
- Strong relationship-building, organisational, and communication skills
- Self-motivated, reliable and eager to develop a career in agricultural sales
- Confident IT skills and the ability to pick up CRM systems quickly
- Full UK driving licence
- Based within Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, or surrounding counties
