As a Trainee Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing quotations and converting a variety of new build and retrofit projects. You will work closely with other estimators and operational teams to ensure a smooth transition of projects to the contract management team.

  • Learn to prepare and produce risk assessments, designs, and quotations for lightning and surge protection projects.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to secure repeat business and generate new opportunities through proactive research.
  • Follow up on all quotations and manage client expectations. You may also be required to attend pre- and post-tender meetings.

Are you a recent graduate with a passion for problem-solving and an eye for detail? Join our national estimating team at BEST!, Ideally, you're familiar with lightning protection systems such as a Lightning Protection Engineer or Lightning Conductor Fitter, and looking for your next step to career development.
  • Alternatively, this role is perfect for a self-motivated, intuitive individual who can build and maintain client relationships. In this case we're looking for someone with an A
  • to C grade in a science, engineering, or maths-related A-level, who is confident interacting with customers. While a knowledge of the construction industry is a plus, it's not essential, as we provide full training to help you master this niche field.
  • You should be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and have excellent time management skills. A full UK driving licence is also required for occasional travel. If you're ready to build a rewarding career and become an expert in a specialised industry, we want to hear from you!

Permanent and Full-time, 40 hours per week between Monday to Friday.
