We are excited to bring several opportunities to join our established Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) in MFT. You will join us as a trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) in one of our four MHST teams., In line with the government's priority to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people, the Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) role is an exciting opportunity to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across both educational settings and healthcare sectors in England., To find out more about the key responsibilities and the specific skills and experience youll need, take a look at the Job Description & Person Specification attachments under the Supporting Documents heading. - Diploma level criteria or equivalent experience
- Academic attainment with literacy and numeracy qualifications
- Experience of working with children and young poeple
- Experience of working with CYP with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, anxiety, mood disorders
- Experience of delivery of therapeutic support
- Knowledge of the education system, child development and mental health
- Excellent communication, time management skills with ability to manage a potentially distressing caseload, Relevant degree, teaching or Youth Mental Health training
- Experience of working with CYP and families in an education or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of policy and procedures in relation to mental health, safeguarding and mental health in education
- Proven commitment to continuing professional development
