Type: Permanent, Full time


Hours: 37 hours per week


Shift: Different shifts available, with 26% shift rate for the late shift

About the Role:


A CNC operator at Schunk UK is a trained professional working on the shop floor. Through diligent work, our products meet high technical standards and fulfill our customers' needs for quality and reliability. As part of a team, they work adeptly and efficiently, setting up CNC programs, feeding the machines, and inspecting product dimensions manually (in-process) and/or using CMM machines. They report to the team leaders.


Main Tasks:



  • Read drawings and create CNC programs accordingly

  • Set up and program CNC machines (Mazak)

  • Conduct first-off dimensional tests on new programs

  • Feed and run CNC machines

  • Perform in-process controls using manual devices (gauges, micrometer)

  • Inspect finished products using CNC CMM machines

  • Handle CNC machines actively and problem-aware

  • Report in SAP and on paper


The Candidate:



  • Good capacity to work in a small team

  • Methodical skills like 5S or CIP are useful

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently

  • Willing to improve themselves and their work environment
