Trainee Civil Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of residential development projects-from initial planning through to detailed design and on-site delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with and support senior engineers in the design and management of residential schemes.,

• Assist in the preparation of engineering designs using AutoCAD and related software
• Support the production of detailed construction drawings and technical documentation
• Contribute to the design of residential layouts, including roads and drainage systems
• Work through established design procedures under the guidance of senior engineers
• Assist with project coordination, presentation, and management across multiple disciplines
• Gain exposure to site activities and support the delivery of projects during construction phases
• Dealing with site enquiries in an efficient and professional manner.
• Supporting the Design and Technical Team by recording and issuing documents as required and general file management.
• Assisting in the formulation of Health & Safety documentation.
• Assisting in the co-ordination of site remediation strategies.
• Dealing with utility companies to obtain supplies for our developments.
• Attending meetings that may be necessary in the performance of your duties.
• Complying with and upholding company policies and procedures.
• Undertaking any additional tasks as may reasonably be required from time to time.
• Maintaining all health and safety aspects including those associated with Covid-19.

• Educated to A Level standard or equivalent.
• GCSE grade 4 or above (or equivalent) in maths and science.
• Full driving licence
• Computer / IT literate with capability to use excel, Word and database packages.
• A genuine interest in civil engineering and residential development
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD (or willingness to learn)
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach
