Full Job Description
We have a really exciting opportunity for you to join our Rheumatology Advanced Clinical Practitioner team at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust as aTrainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Rheumatology (Band 7). The successful post holder will be supported to undertake the MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice and upon successful completion will become a Band 8a. The trainee is required to work a minimum of 30 hours (0.8 WTE) as per Health Education / NHS England guidance., 1. High profile, accessible and responsive leader with managerial and clinical responsibility for the delivery of Advanced Clinical Practice in Rheumatology . Able to make informed decisions within their own speciality and scope of professional practice, involving patients and public to ensure agreed standards, targets and objectives are met.
2. The post holder will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process. They will work collaboratively with the Rheumatology team to meet the needs of patients, and will play a key role in service delivery and adherence to policy and procedures.
3. The post holder will be predominantly clinic based, but may also be required to see patients across the Rheumatology footprint including the Rheumatology Day Case Unit, working alongside medical, nursing and multidisciplinary colleagues, undertaking patient assessment, clinical examination, formulation of differential diagnoses, and development of management plans under supervision. They will also provide support, guidance and advice to junior staff and colleagues in relation to relevant protocols and patient pathways.
We are looking for a dynamic, inspirational and forward thinking health care professional. You should have extensive experience in Rheumatology as well as having excellent leadership, management and communication skills.
