Trade Compliance and Logistics Specialist

At Graphcore, our work helps innovators go further, faster - and what we do really makes a difference., We are looking for a Trade Compliance and Logistics Specialist to join our Supply Chain team in Bristol. Reporting to the Trade Compliance Manager, you will support the day-to-day delivery of Graphcore's trade compliance activities, helping ensure we meet export control requirements while enabling the smooth movement of goods and technology across our global operations. This is a great opportunity for someone with trade compliance experience, ideally in a high-tech environment, who enjoys working with detail, solving problems and partnering with teams across the business.The Team You will be part of Graphcore's Supply Chain team, within the wider Operations group. The team has members in Bristol and Taiwan and is responsible for developing and managing a robust manufacturing subcontract supply chain for Graphcore. You will work closely with colleagues across Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering and other business functions to support compliant exports, technology transfers and international shipments.What you will be doing In this role, you will:

• Assist with export licensing determinations and help ensure Graphcore remains compliant with relevant export control regulations.
• Apply for export licences where required, or determine whether appropriate licence exemptions can be used.
• Respond to internal queries relating to technology transfers, including deemed exports.
• Run compliance checks on suppliers, customers and other relevant parties.
• Ensure export-related records are accurate, complete and maintained in line with regulatory requirements.
• Provide cover for the Senior Logistics Coordinator, including arranging shipments from the UK.
• Support the wider Supply Chain and Operations teams with practical, timely trade compliance guidance.
  
  You will bring a strong understanding of trade compliance and international shipping, along with the confidence to interpret requirements and make informed recommendations.
You will have:
• Previous experience in Trade Compliance, preferably within the high-tech industry.
• Experience working with US EAR regulations.
• Experience arranging or supporting international shipments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex systems and make sound decisions.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• A detail-focused and organised approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Confidence working with internal stakeholders and responding to queries clearly and pragmatically.
