Trade Attribution & Client Book of Record Support Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a team focused on delivering accurate trade data and supporting investment operations. In this role, you will help maintain data integrity, investigate trade activity, and provide insights that support business and client outcomes. You will collaborate with a broad network of stakeholders while contributing to operational excellence and continuous improvement. As a Trade Attribution & Client Book of Record Support Analyst in Asset Management Operations, you support trade attribution, data quality controls, and client reporting processes across investment portfolios. You will work closely with trading, operations, technology, business management, and sales teams to ensure trade activity is accurately captured, reconciled, and explained through clear, data-driven analysis. This role provides the opportunity to develop expertise across the trade lifecycle while helping improve operational efficiency and data quality.,

• Perform daily trade attribution and matching of executions to client accounts, allocations, and orders across multiple asset classes.
• Monitor and resolve exceptions affecting trade attribution and Client Book of Record data integrity.
• Partner with trading, operations, and technology teams to ensure accurate capture of trade data and attributes.
• Validate trade-level data quality, completeness, and consistency across operational and reporting platforms.
• Execute controls and reconciliations, identify root causes of breaks, and support timely issue remediation.
• Maintain procedures, controls, and process documentation to support audit and operational risk requirements.
• Research and respond to trade-related inquiries from business management and sales stakeholders.
• Explain trade activity, allocation outcomes, pricing differences, and lifecycle events through data-backed analysis.
• Produce recurring and ad hoc reporting on attribution, exception management, and data quality measures.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and support automation and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborate with data and technology partners to enhance reporting, controls, and exception management processes.
  
  Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Business, Economics, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Experience in asset management operations, middle office, trade support, trade processing, client reporting operations, or a related environment.
• Understanding of the trade lifecycle across multiple asset classes, including trade capture, allocations, confirmations, settlement concepts, and lifecycle events.
• Experience working with large datasets, performing reconciliations, and investigating data discrepancies.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, pivot tables, and lookup functions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality, controls, and operational risk management.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
• Experience using SQL for data analysis and reconciliation activities.
• Experience using Alteryx to support workflow automation and reporting.
• Experience using Python for data validation, analysis, or automation.
• Familiarity with Cognos reporting tools.
• Knowledge of reference data concepts, including security master data, account hierarchies, and financial instrument identifiers.
• Experience supporting a Client Book of Record, Investment Book of Record, Accounting Book of Record, or similar reporting environment.
