Role Description
Detail tool design from the development of the concept through to issue for detail products and assembly of airframe related parts.
- Proven experience of detail tool design processes - preferably within the air sector.
- Proficient in the use of CATIA V5
- Thorough understanding of interpreting and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Knowledge and understanding of/ability to apply external and internal company standards that govern tooling activities
- The ability to generate solutions for complex problems from concept through to actualisation
- Ability to work with multiple teams across different engineering disciplines within the company (e.g., design, toolroom, other process development teams within FalconWorks) as well as external suppliers.
- Applicants must be comfortable with the uncertainty and volatility associated with working on an early
- Desirable knowledge and experience of internal company systems such as SAPCAMS & PLM
Knowledge
The ideal candidate should have previous knowledge of developing composite detail tooling and elastomer forming.
