Introduction
Join Marcegaglia UK Ltd as a Machining Apprentice and develop practical engineering skills while working alongside experienced engineers. You'll learn conventional and CNC machining, tooling maintenance and engineering techniques, gaining a nationally recognised qualification in a modern steel manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do
1. Learn to operate conventional and CNC machine tools including lathes, milling machines and grinders
2. Assist with the manufacture, repair and refurbishment of tooling, rolls and production components
3. Read engineering drawings and use precision measuring equipment to ensure components meet specification
4. Support preventative maintenance, tooling changeovers and production engineering activities
5. Learn safe workshop practices, fault finding and engineering problem solving while maintaining excellent housekeeping standards
6. Complete apprenticeship training, college work and on-the-job learning while working alongside experienced machinists and engineers
Training Outcome
Successful completion could lead to a permanent role as a Machining Technician/Toolmaker within the Maintenance Department, with opportunities to further develop engineering skills and progress into more senior engineering positions.
