Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and inspirationalTissue Viability and Skin Integrity Nurse Consultantto provide expert clinical and professional leadership across East of England Community Health and Care NHS Trust and the wider health and care system.
- Provide expert clinical leadership for tissue viability and skin integrity services across the Trust.
- Influence strategic decision-making relating to wound care, pressure ulcer prevention and skin integrity.
- Provide highly complex clinical advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and evaluation.
- Lead Trust-wide quality improvement programmes relating to tissue viability and skin integrity.
- Develop clinical standards, policies, pathways and governance frameworks across Norfolk Adults and across East of England Community Health and Care.
- Responsible for the day-to-day line management ofTissue Viability Specialist Nurses, Skin Integrity Clinical Leads and the Principal Podiatrist.
- Provide specialist consultancy to clinical teams, managers and executive leaders.
- Lead education and competency development programmes across the workforce.
- Influence service development regionally and nationally through professional networks and research activity.
- Support the management of a designated budget and procurement decisions relating to specialist wound care products and equipment.
- Lead investigations of serious incidents, pressure ulcers, coroners requests and complex complaints relating to tissue viability and skin integrity care.
