Full Job Description
- Maintaining and updating design documentation for in-service Small Arms Ammunition
- Prepare technical documentation including certificates of design, technical reports and procurement specifications
- Investigation of incidents involving in-service Munitions at any stage of their manufacture, storage, transportation or usage lifecycles.
- Support proofing activities
- Support modelling of product and product features
- Provide technical expertise to product safety and environmental management systems, Join a dynamic engineering team which responds to product design and manufacturing challenges where no two days are the same. As a Through-Life Support Engineer in Small Arms Ammunition, you'll report to a Senior Engineer and will primarily be involved within the in-service phase of the product lifecycle where you provide critical post design services to ensure safe, and compliant products for the customer. Apprenticeship in Mechanical/ Manufacturing or related subject, or equivalent experience - Fully conversant with MS Office Suite 2010 (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Desirable:
- Understanding of Small Arms Ammunition design and manufacturing processes
- Degree in Mechanical/ Manufacturing or related subject
- Understanding of change and configuration management processes
- Knowledge of Bills Of Material
