Full Job Description
This role presents a great opportunity for an experienced early years professional to step into a Third in Charge position, playing a key role in supporting the leadership team and maintaining high standards across the setting. You will be instrumental in helping to shape daily practice, support staff development, and ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for children and families.,
- Supporting the Nursery Manager and Deputy in the day-to-day running of the setting
- Acting as a role model for best practice across the nursery
- Supporting the delivery of high-quality care and education in line with EYFS
- Leading practice within rooms and supporting team performance
- Building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Monitoring children's development and supporting staff with observations
- Assisting with safeguarding, compliance, and operational standards
- Stepping into leadership responsibilities in the absence of senior management
Level 3 Early Years qualification - essential - Previous experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner - essential
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
- A nurturing, caring approach to childcare
- Confident leadership skills with the ability to support and motivate a team
- Strong communication skills when working with families and colleagues
- Passion for delivering high-quality early years care and education
