Full Job Description
- To support Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapists provide a high standard service to ward-based patients.
- To work with the Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and ward staff in the implementation and progression of rehabilitation programmes.
- To enable patients to achieve their optimum level of independence in mobility and activities of daily living.
- To be actively involved in the continuation of rehabilitation programmes during weekdays, weekends and bank holidays.
- Participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team assisting with specified duties and to take responsibility for planning his/her own work duties. You will work along side Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and other support staff. This team will support in providing you 'on the job training' based on a structured competency framework.
We are looking for candidates with good communication skills and a passion to work with people to help them achieve their potential. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of working with people in a caring or enabling environment, although this is not essential. The successful candidate does need to have a full UK driving licence for a manual car so that they can support with home visits or equipment delivery.
