Full Job Description

A full time opportunity has arisen for a Materials Management Assistant to join our team at the Royal Hallamshire hospital. The post holder will assist in delivering an efficient and effective Materials Management, Receipt, and Distribution Service for OSCCA. Working closely with clinical teams, they will help ensure the timely availability of supplies and equipment, supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care and enabling clinical staff to maintain a greater focus on patients. Cross-site cover as required to meet service needs and ensure continuity of operations.Main duties of the job

  • Support the provision of an efficient and effective Materials Management, Receipt and Distribution Service.
  • Work closely with clinical teams to ensure the timely availability of stock, consumables, and equipment.
  • Receive, inspect, record, store, and distribute goods across Theatres
  • Undertake stock replenishment activities within stores and departmental areas.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete all associated documentation.
  • Use computer systems to record receipts, stock movements, and inventory information.
  • Respond to enquiries from internal departments, suppliers, and external customers.
  • Assist with stock checks, inventory control, and the investigation of stock discrepancies.
  • Ensure stores, stock locations, and work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and organised condition.
  • Adhere to Trust policies, procedures, and Health and Safety requirements at all times.
  • Contribute to service efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide flexible cross-site cover in line with operational and service needs.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality patient care by ensuring clinical areas have the supplies they need when required.
