Full Job Description
- Relighting the show at each new venue on the UK Tour;
- Operating the lighting desk during performances;
- To supervise and train additional members of the LX department/the Tech Swing and in house follow spot operators at each venue;
- To supervise the maintenance and preparation of the rig;
- To assist with the get out at each venue;
- To maintain the Production as instructed and dictated by the creative team;
- Working alongside your team, other technical departments, stage management, the acting company and creative team members to ensure the efficient flow of information as necessary for the smooth running of the show;
- Attending all rehearsals, show calls, maintenance calls, get-ins, fit-ups and get-outs as required by the Company Stage Manager, Production Manager or the LX Designer, including emergency calls in the event of equipment failure or other incident, particularly if there is a risk of the cancellation of a performance;
- Compiling and keeping updated show paperwork, both soft and hard copy;
- Working in accordance with the Producer's Health and Safety policy, which may include any training deemed necessary;
- Complying at all times with the rules and regulations in force at the venues under the control of the Production;
- Having a practical understanding of the Producer's employment policies and demonstrating a willingness to comply with these policies;
- Any other duties as may be reasonably required in the course of your duties or as instructed by the Lighting Designer, Company Manager, Production Manager, General Managers or Producers from time to time., We are looking for a Theatre Technician to work as part of a small resident technical team based at Theatre Royal Winchester providing excellent technical support for all the organisation's events, both in the theatre and beyond., This is the senior leadership role responsible for setting the strategy, budget, governance framework and commercial direction for the Olivier Awards and UK Theatre awards, events and partnerships activity.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with excellent attention to detail; - A proactive and flexible attitude;
- Previous experience of UK Touring;
- Previous experience of working as part of a team;
- The ability to work well with actors and creative team;
- The ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise;
- Awareness of current health & safety legislation;
- Strong working knowledge of UK Theatre & SOLT Equity and BECTU agreements. Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK., This role comprises fabricating and finishing scenic elements to a high standard in a safe and efficient manner and contributing to the supervision and maintenance of the construction department. This role requires someone multi-skilled in carpentry, metalworking, and prop making, along with previous experience supervising a workshop or working wit, Nicoll Entertainment are seeking a dedicated and highly organised Resident Production Manager to join our team, working in the office and on site to manage and grow Nicoll Entertainment's Productions., Kenny Wax Productions is looking for a motivated LX1 to join the touring production of SIX The Musical. The successful candidate will have relevant and transferrable experience as LX1 or equivalent on similar productions, and must have the right to live and work in the UK.
