Full-time, Term-time Founded in 1646, Reading Blue Coat is a leading independent day school of circa 800 pupils from ages 11 to 18. The School is located on a beautiful 46-acre campus in the village of Sonning, just outside Reading. We are looking for a Theatre Technician to join this excellent Performing Arts department. In this role, you will provide a high level of technical support for events for the whole school including productions, performances, concerts, rehearsals and lessons in relation to Production, Lighting, Sound, AV, Staging and Seating. The ideal candidate will have a technical theatre or production skills qualification or relevant experience, a detailed knowledge of lighting consoles, be well organised and able to approach work methodically, prioritise and meet deadlines. This is a full-time, term-time role working 37.5 hours per week during school hours, which will be worked flexibly across the week according to the needs of School events.
