Full Job Description

The successful candidate will support patients through the anaesthetic and recovery phases of their surgical journey, providing safe, high-quality, patient-centred care across a range of specialties. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent clinical outcomes and a positive patient experience., Some of the duties include:

  • Deliver a high standard of patient care, ensuring all procedures and treatments are carried outin accordance withTrust policies and procedures.
  • Take charge of sessions asrequired, organising day-to-day duties for theallocatedarea in line with the direction of the Specialty Manager/Team Leader and within scope of competence.
  • Liaise with medical staff, departments, and senior nursing staff tomaintainthe smooth running of services.
  • Ensureappropriate staffare informed of any changes to procedures, operating lists, or departmental requirements.
  • Provide clear information to patients, relatives, and ward staff, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately.
  • Check and control drugsin accordance withrelevant legislation and Trust policy.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to join our friendly Theatre team as an Anaesthetics and Recovery Practitioner.
